Cherlynn Zhang's work is about international borders. Last night she performed at Flux in Wynwood, Miami. She is a Chinese-born MFA graduate student at the University of Miami. Before joining the University she spent one year traveling through Central and South America, the Amazon, and living in jungle tribes. She is fluent in Spanish, English and Mandarin.
I am on her MFA committee and it was important to attend her performance. The small documentary I filmed becomes a visual record for future discussion in her next review.
Last year she was accepted in the Guillermo Gomez Peña's workshop in California.
