The Sitting Bull silkscreen edition was made in 2022 at the Liverpool Print studios.  This year I wanted to do another image that relates to Sitting Bull as part of a new series of Native American heroes.  I want the hero with their name tattooed in their chest as a symbol of "branding" burning
I researched several icons: Chief Joseph, Nez Perce. (pierced nose in French) Geronimo, Chaman, and a rebel of the Mescalitos and Tupac Amaru rebel of the 1780 revolution in Peru.
Sketchbook pen and ink  drawing.  Trying to discover the personality of each hero.
I used as inspiration the fresco painting "Tupac Amaru" 1988. Teodoro Núñez Ureta (Arequipa, 1912 - Lima, 1988)
